Welcome to this tropical paradise of Zanzibar. Provided for the residents are beautiful beaches, a jungle teeming with wildlife and a historically rich culture. However, that is not the appeal of Zanzibar now. In 2018, a parasite, commonly referred to as the Lurg, began infesting people in Greenland. At first, it seemed innocent enough. People would develop a slight fever that would eventually go away. But it evolved. It developed resistances, started transmitting through water and animals, and eventually the first fatality occurred. From there, people panicked. Fortunately, the government of Zanzibar seemed prepared for this. They closed their shipyards in an attempt to save their own citizens. This left people trapped. They were only able to hear about the disease from radios. They heard of terrible, psychological symptoms that made people sing, walk backwards, or even develop an unusual desire for gravy. They eventually turned into nightmarish, zombie-like creatures. Anyone, it seemed, could be infected. There was panic.

And then there was silence. No one spoke on the radios anymore. No news could be gathered from satellite communication. But there were still ships around. The government decided to let the people from the ships onto the island under strict supervision to prevent the parasite from returning. So now the only thing to do is survive.

This is an AU game, based on the flash game series, Pandemic. It's an AU where we explore what life would be like for those people who were left on the island and on the wandering ships. This is a very casual game, with a very quick and easy introduction process and a friendly, open environment.
